Welcome to Graduate Student Services

We would like to invite you to help build a strong and supportive graduate student environment. A number of events, both social and intellectual, are planned throughout the year. Make sure you regularly check the Graduate Student Association's (GSA) website, www.brandeis.edu/gsa and join the GSA listserv to keep up to date on events, and to find out about issues that involve graduate students.

One of the goals of GSS is to provide you with information about graduate student life on the Brandeis campus, as well as to give general information about some places off-campus we think will be helpful for you to know. For information about academic related resources, please refer to the student handbooks provided by your own graduate school.

Brandeis now includes 23 undergraduate departments, three graduate schools, the Lown School of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, the Rosensteil Basic Medical Sciences Research Center, the Gordon Public Policy Center, and the Volen National Center for Complex Systems. The University has about 2,900 undergraduates, 1,400 graduate students, 330 full-time faculty, and 130 part-time faculty.

Welcome to Brandeis. We hope you will enjoy your time here.

MBTA Semester Pass Discount Forms and Information

Forms are due in the Graduate Student Center, Kutz Hall room 124 MS 207, by January 8th 2008.

NEW THIS SEMESTER: We have two options for payment: 1) Pay upfront for all 4 months, as you've done in the past, or 2)You can pay for your pass on a monthly basis instead of all at once!! If you order a pass, however, you are obligating yourself to pay for the entire cost. If you default, the charge will go to your bill and could result in a hold on your registration or your transcript!

This is a pilot program for spring semester and is the result of student suggestions. We hope it will be successful and that we'll be able to continue it--but it's up to YOU! If you currently use the bus/train systems, please sign-up for a pass for second semester. You can pick it up (and pay for it) monthly in the Graduate Student Center.
