I chose Brandeis International Business School because of the curriculum in the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program. The program is STEM-designated and offered me the perfect blend of analytics, finance and business strategy, preparing me for a career in business analytics. The diverse and collaborative community, along with the opportunity to participate in field projects, also made the International Business School stand out as a place where I could grow both personally and professionally.
The MSBA program at Brandeis is rigorous, innovative and highly practical. It combines core technical skills like machine learning, data visualization and data modeling with a strong foundation in business strategy. The program is designed to bridge the gap between data and decision-making, equipping students with the tools to solve complex problems in real-world scenarios.
My time at Brandeis prepared me for my career by equipping me with technical expertise, strategic thinking and practical experience. The MSBA program’s rigorous curriculum sharpened my skills in data analysis, financial modeling and business communication. My field project, in particular, allowed me to apply classroom learning to real-world problems, developing valuation models for private companies and gaining insights into SaaS and digital business metrics. This experience built my confidence and prepared me for a dynamic career in business analytics.
The community at Brandeis International Business School is diverse, inclusive and supportive. Students come from all over the world, bringing unique perspectives that enrich classroom discussions and team collaborations. Some of the key highlights included attending the annual ALPFA convention, where I developed amazing contacts and enhanced my networking skills, which are essential for landing a job. Serving as vice president of the International Business Women’s Club was another highlight, as it allowed me to foster a supportive environment for women in business. Additionally, the close-knit community, engaging coursework and opportunities to collaborate with talented peers made my time at Brandeis incredibly enriching.
I learned the importance of leadership, collaboration and creating a supportive community. We organized events to empower women in business, facilitated networking opportunities and worked with peers to address challenges faced by women professionals. This role enhanced my organizational and communication skills while giving me the chance to make a meaningful impact on the Brandeis community.
