Standards for Accreditation
NECHE provides the standards that serve as the criteria for institutional quality. While our 2019 review followed a nine-standard model, Brandeis will be evaluated under a new set of five streamlined standards effective June 2026:
- Mission, Organization, Governance, and Planning: Defines our distinctive character and the systems that facilitate our mission.
- The Academic Program, Faculty, and Students: Focuses on the quality and integrity of academic programs, teaching excellence, and student achievement.
- Institutional Resources: Ensures sufficient human, financial, information, physical, and technological resources to sustain our mission.
- Educational Effectiveness and the Success of All Students: Demonstrates student achievement and the use of data for continuous improvement.
- Integrity, Transparency, and Public Disclosure: Upholds high ethical standards and provides clear, accurate information to the public.
