A Catalyst for Equitable Technology
Our society stands at a crossroads where technology’s pervasive influence in our lives is undeniable. From algorithmic decision-making in criminal justice to data privacy concerns and AI in employment, technology footprint is ubiquitous. However, these advancements are not without their challenges. There is growing evidence of biases in algorithmic processes impacting marginalized communities disproportionately.
The Racial Justice and Technology Policy program is designed to cultivate an understanding of these complexities, equipping learners with the ability to critically analyze and influence technology policies with a lens of racial justice.
The Non-Credit Certificates offered within the Racial Justice and Technology Policy program will allow you to:
- Gain skills in evaluating AI policy through ethics, assessing policy systems affected by AI, and designing interventions for AI-induced challenges.
- Learn to identify and analyze cyber threats, apply network security measures, and execute incident response plans.
- Explore health disparities, understand the impact of AI bias on healthcare data, and analyze policy responses to these disparities.
“I’m thrilled to guide you through real-world security scenarios in this hands-on course, progressing from fundamentals to practical applications... Whether you’re pursuing a security career or strengthening your technical expertise, I’m committed to helping you build the practical skills needed to protect our digital infrastructure.”
