Karen Muncaster joined Brandeis University in July of 2014 to serve as vice president of the Rabb School of Continuing Studies.
Muncaster came to Brandeis from Boston Architectural College, where she held the position of vice president for professional and continuing education. Previously, she was associate vice president for academic technology and program design at Lesley University. Her past roles include launching the online education division as dean of continuing education at Southern New Hampshire University and serving as the director of services for students with disabilities and then as the director of continuing education at Middlesex Community College. She has also taught high school special education classes. She currently serves as a Commissioner for the CIHE of NEASC.
Muncaster holds a a BS from Indiana University, an MEd from Tufts University and a PhD in higher education administration from Boston College, where she focused her research on the support of part-time faculty in the academy.
