About the Nassau North Chapter
The Nassau North Chapter offers many exciting learning opportunities and events in the Bayside, Douglaston, Floral Park, Flushing, Great Neck, Hollis Hills, Jamaica, Jericho, Kings Point, Little Neck, New Hyde Park, Roslyn, Rego Park and Syosset New York communities. At our last event, we offered a free meeting for members and nonmembers at the Great Neck Library. Attendees enjoyed a tempting brunch of bagels and cheese, cookies and coffee for dessert. Entertainment was by Fred Salador, who shared his experiences as an actor. The chapter also arranges periodic lecture series. In the past, we were graced by Evelyn Silver, an adjunct professor at Queens College, lecturer at the University Without Walls and a much respected docent at the Nassau Museum of Art. Ms. Silver addressed the group on her topic "Women and Art". The theme was certainly one to be evaluated in the modern era.
