Managing Change and Innovation
In a world increasingly dependent on the effective exploitation of technologies, driving a sustainable competitive strategy is dependent upon organizations fostering a climate of innovation and creativity. This course aims to provide students with competencies and analytic skills to investigate technological challenges within dynamic organizational contexts. Students will research, evaluate and apply appropriate change management processes and innovative solutions to achieve strategic objectives and competitive advantages.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
Critically evaluate relationships between technological innovation and the changing nature of business.
Evaluate the socio-technical challenges in deploying and managing change and technology innovation.
Critically evaluate conceptual/analytical models of change and innovation implementation.
Analyze how innovative technologies can empower and transform the operations and services of an organization.
Assess and develop the means for creating a culture of creativity and innovation in an organization.
Formulate a vision for sustainable competitive advantage in an organization and construct a strategic plan for achieving that vision.
