What you need to know now
- Brandeis strongly encourages Commencement participants and audience members to wear masks at all ceremonies. Masks will be available if participants accidentally leave theirs at home. Please be aware that Middlesex County is currently considered a high-transmission location in Massachusetts and masks are recommended indoors. If the City of Waltham reinstates an indoor mask mandate prior to commencement, masks will be required to attend the ceremony at Gosman and the diploma ceremonies.
- Vaccinated campus community members may now, in most cases, participate in "soft quarantine" if they are identified as a close contact of someone with COVID-19. This generally means wearing a mask around other people for 10 days after they have been identified as a close contact, but they do not need to stay in their rooms. They may not eat in dining halls. Unvaccinated community members must continue to participate in traditional quarantine. Please review the quarantine page for more details.
- Brandeis continues to adjust our COVID-19 protocols based on data and local conditions. These include changes to masking, testing, travel and visitor requirements. Please review our current policies for more details.
