Request to Enroll in BEMCo Orientation

If you anticipate being fully certified by the end of the upcoming semester, contact the BEMCo Training Officer or email BEMCo to be added to the New Member Orientation listserv, which will be used to distribute information regarding dates, locations and requirements for orientation. New member orientation in the Fall semester generally takes place within the first two weeks of September. You will receive more information about this in August. Another new member orientation will take place early in the Spring semester, generally in the third week of January. Orientation covers BEMCo specific protocol and policies, and will include skills stations and a campus map test. Please complete all of your paperwork including application materials, prior to orientation and bring it with you on the first day.

You can be added to the orientation listserv and attend New Member orientation before you get your Massachusetts EMT card. However, before you take a shift, you must have your NREMT and Massachusetts EMT certifications, as well as a current U.S. driver's license and current health care provider CPR Card. Additionally, once you have done New Member Orientation, be sure to take at least one shift that semester, otherwise you will be required to re-attend New Member Orientation.

We encourage you to complete the application process over the summer.
