Involvement Fair
Sunday, August 28, 1-3 pm
Great Lawn outside Shapiro Campus Center
Curious about Pottery Club studio hours? Want to join the Drawing Club? What's the deal with all the a cappella groups? Meet students from Brandeis' many arts and performance clubs at the Involvement Fair. Sponsored by Student Engagement.


Audition for a Brandeis music ensemble
The ten Department of Music ensembles are open to all members of the Brandeis community by audition, as are vocal private lessons and instrumental private lessons. Auditions take place the week before classes begin or the first week of classes, depending on the ensemble.

Audition for Year of Climate Action: A Devised Participatory Performance
Collaborate with the award-winning Sojourn Theatre company to create a performance focused on Brandeis' Year of Climate Action. Auditions are open to all and consist of a ten-minute Zoom interview with the Sojourn Theatre artists on September 3 or 4. The performances will be held September 22-24 in Spingold Theater Center. Presented by the Department of Theater Arts.

Show your art!
Display your original artwork in one of two informal exhibition spaces: Shapiro Campus Center atrium, or the Create@Brandeis wall in Upper Usdan (next to Dunkin). Open to individuals, groups or clubs. Submit the short application form or email arts@brandeis.edu with questions. Sponsored by Arts Engagement.


Create@Brandeis Craft Market
Info Session and Display Workshop
Friday, August 26, 1-3 pm
Do you make jewelry, stickers, or pottery? Have your own line of body care products or cupcakes? Do you knit or crochet? And do you want to sell your creations to the Brandeis community? The next Create@Brandeis Craft Market will take place on Family Weekend, October 29 and 30. If you have not participated before, you'll need to attend an info session and workshop on Friday, August 26. You'll learn how to price your work, and we'll show you a few smart ways to display your work to its best advantage.  Sign up for the info session here. Returning participants: You are welcome to come to the info session, but it's optional. Apply to table at the market here.


Make a giant puppet
September 13-15, 2-5 pm
Outside Spingold Theater Center
In conjunction with The Year of Climate Action, the Department of Theater Arts invites you to get creative with your hands. Make new friends at outdoor craft stations loaded with recycled cans, bottles, cardboard and paper. You will work with Costume Shop Director Brooke Stanton and your fellow students making the puppets from recycled cans, bottles, cardboard and paper. Celebrate the Year of Climate Action in a fun, interactive way and get off to a great start for the new semester. Workshops are drop-in, so come down before, after or between classes! No experience necessary. Snacks and music provided.Sponsored by the Department of Theater Arts.
