annaAnna Nguyen traveled to Jaffa, Israel to work at a Reut Sadak, a youth camp that encourages youth to come together in dialogue. There, Anna met a fellow volunteer, Adel, with whom she has remained in touch over the years.

anna“Adel was one of the volunteers at Reut Sadaka who helped worked with youths to come together in dialogue. Adel and I instantly connected and I learned a lot more about his family and their lives in Israel as Arab-Israeli's. Although, on the outset, we couldn't seem more different but we connected over many shared experiences with our family and background. Over the years, Adel and I have stayed in touch, visited in each other in Europe and the US, and more recently Adel attended my wedding and gave a heartfelt speech.” anna

Anna is currently based in San Francisco, and working at Facebook focusing on Global Corporate Immigration where she focuses on international, non-US, immigration matters. Prior to joining Facebook and earlier in her professional career, she spent two years as a public interest attorney at Greater Boston Legal Services representing Asian immigrants in the Greater Boston community who were exploited in the workforce.
