Brandeis International Business School

Tiffany Khuu, MSF’22: Peter Petri Global Fellowship

Tiffany KhuuWhy did you choose Brandeis International Business School?

I chose Brandeis International Business School because of its inclusive and diverse culture, as well as its record of student success. As a member of the Brandeis community, I have enjoyed getting to know students from all over the world. I also love how much female representation there is among the faculty and students, as business is often a male dominated field. In addition to diversity, the International Business School has a nationally ranked finance program. Graduates are also extremely successful in finding jobs and internships in their field, so I am confident that I will be able to reach my career goals.

What kind of work or research are you interested in?

I am an MSF student and my concentration is in Asset Management. I am interested in portfolio management and investment banking.

What are your career goals?

After graduation, I would like to pursue a career in banking to get experience in valuation and modeling, and to gain exposure to high-profile corporate transactions. I am also considering a career in portfolio management after gaining some industry experience because I am interested in investments.

What are you most proud of in your academic or professional life?

I am very proud to say that I am the first member of my family to earn a college degree. I worked 20 hours per week to support myself during my undergraduate career, and I graduated summa cum laude, as well as receiving an award for earning the highest GPA in my major.

“During my undergraduate career, I worked 20 hours per week while maintaining a GPA of over 3.90. However, as graduate school is more demanding, I have found that this fellowship has allowed me to focus more on my academics instead of working long hours. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity, and I plan to make the most of it.”
