Meet the Staff
Laura is a board certified pediatrician with a passion for young adult and adolescent medicine. She joined the medical team at Brandeis University in fall 2025. She has been a clinician at Northeastern University since 2020 and spent two of her years at Northeastern helping the team as the Interim Medical Director. She obtained her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed Pediatric Residency and a Chief Resident year at Tufts Medical Center. Her clinical interests include sexual health, substance misuse, and eating disorders. Outside of work she enjoys skiing, houseplants, and spending time with her three young children.
LaShaun is a well-versed and skillful leader with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. She has worked across a variety of healthcare settings, including specialty, community, behavioral, and mental health services. LaShaun holds graduate certificates from Boston University and Suffolk University and earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Nazarene College. She joined Brandeis University in 2021 as the Administrative Director for the Health Center and currently serves as the Director of Healthcare Operations for both the Counseling and Medical Health Centers. Passionate about the patient and client experience, LaShaun is deeply committed to staff development and fostering community partnerships. She co-chairs the Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) and serves as a mentor for the Brandeis Educational Justice Initiative (BEJI) partner, Partakers Empowerment Program.
Outside of work, LaShaun enjoys traveling, shopping, spending time with family, and reading.
Amy received her master's degree in nursing science from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She worked in primary care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center before joining the Health Center team in 2025. She also has experience working in OB/GYN at Dimock Health Center. Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, sexual health, and preventative medicine.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and reading.
Michelle earned her Master of Nursing Science from the University of Melbourne, Australia, followed by a post-master’s degree in nursing from the University of Rhode Island. In 2025, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University.
Michelle worked as a nurse practitioner at Coastal Medical-East Providence Internal Medicine for eight years before joining the team at Brandeis Health Center in 2022. She is deeply committed to providing inclusive and comprehensive primary care, with a special interest in gender-affirming care, LGBTQIA+ health, sexual health, and obesity.
Jane joined the Health Center in 2018 and handles the insurance billing for both the Health and Counseling Centers. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Pine Manor College and her billing experience comes from many years as a self-employed medical biller serving clients in many different specialties. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, cycling and hiking with her husband and dog Mollie.
Ross grew up in Stoneham, MA and graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2023 with a bachelor’s in Communications and Business Administration. He joined the team in the summer of 2024 and his responsibilities cover both the Health Center and the Counseling Center. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, playing video games, and watching Drake Maye play football.
Santa brings over 8 years of experience in family medicine to the team. She joined the Health Center in August of 2022 with a dedication to providing high-quality patient care and seamless coordination for every patient's care journey. Santa earned her Medical Assistant certification at Salter School in 2014. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Originally from Utah, Ashley relocated to Massachusetts and joined the Brandeis Health Center team in January, 2026. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah focusing on English and Physics and brings 3 years of experience in health care to the team. Community and advocacy are two of her biggest passions. In her free time she enjoys meeting with her book clubs and art club, visiting the library, hiking, playing video games, and playing fetch with her two cats.
Kimberly joined the Brandeis Health Center in April, 2023. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire, and a Master of Education from Cambridge College. Before joining Brandeis, she worked as a school nurse for a K-8 school in Weston. She also has experience working in an allergy clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital and on a Medical-Surgical floor at Lahey Hospital. Kimberly is a long time resident of Waltham and enjoys taking her two little girls for bike rides and on trips to Pizzi Farm for ice cream.
Originally from the West coast, Mandy relocated to Massachusetts and joined the Brandeis Health Center team in the summer of 2025. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in 2024, with a dual focus in Psychology and Society, Ethics, and Human Behavior. In her free time, she enjoys watching international films and trying all new kinds of food.
