Holiday Schedule and President's Discretionary Days

Dear Faculty and Staff,
To help everyone make their plans for the holiday season in November and December, I want you to know that I have approved the following five President’s Discretionary Days to allow you additional time to spend with friends and family.
- Wednesday, November 23
This is in addition to the existing Thanksgiving holidays of Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25.
- Tuesday, December 27, through Friday, December 30
This is in addition to the existing Christmas and New Year holidays of Monday, December 26, and Monday, January 2.
As in the past, departments that must remain open will inform any staff members who are required to work all or some of the days in the holiday schedule.
Employees should check with their supervisors regarding scheduling. Staff members who are required to work these holidays are entitled to take other days off. Please accept my thanks for modifying your schedule, if necessary.
