Administrative News: Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement
April 27, 2023
Dear Members of the Brandeis Community,
I’m pleased to announce that Hannah Peters, a knowledgeable, versatile, and experienced advancement professional, has accepted the position of senior vice president of institutional advancement.
Hannah has served the Brandeis community since 2019, when she was named vice president of development. In 2021, she was named interim senior vice president of institutional advancement. I am delighted that she has agreed to remove the word interim from her title.
Since arriving on campus, Hannah has helped to grow commitments from Brandeis alumni and friends, improving upon both individual and high-level gifts, while building strong relationships with loyal Brandeis alumni and friends. Under her leadership, fiscal year 2022 was Brandeis’ best fundraising year in 14 years. She has also been instrumental in laying the groundwork for our upcoming comprehensive campaign.
As senior vice president of institutional advancement, Hannah oversees several departments, including: Advancement, Alumni Relations, the Brandeis National Committee, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Institutional Advancement Communications, and Donor Relations.
Prior to coming to Brandeis, Hannah spent 20 years at Harvard, in various roles. Most recently, she was associate dean for development and external relations at Harvard Divinity School, where she led the school’s first major comprehensive fundraising campaign in over a decade. Prior to Harvard, she held roles at the Stanford University School of Engineering, Tufts Medical Center, the Asia Society, and the Executive Council on Foreign Diplomats.
We are thrilled that Hannah will be remaining at Brandeis. Please join me in offering her our congratulations.
Sincerely,
Ron Liebowitz
