The Rabb School of Continuing Studies

Through its three divisions, the Rabb School offers opportunities for lifelong learning, professional advancement and personal enrichment. The school serves its learners by offering graduate degree programs for working professionals, courses for credit for college students and others during the summer and noncredit enrichment courses for mature adult learners.

Supporting the university in its mission of open inquiry and teaching in a world of challenging social and technological transformation, the school is dedicated to developing innovative educational paradigms and to providing a collegial community for its on-campus and distance learners.

Graduate Professional Studies
The Division of Graduate Professional Studies provides a variety of distinctive niche master's degree programs that reflect current and future areas of graduate study for emerging professions. The Division offers year-round, part-time online graduate courses for working professionals leading to:

• Online master's degrees in health and medical informatics, project and program management, software engineering, bioinformatics, information security, information technology management, virtual management and strategic analytics, as well as opportunities for sequential, multiple degrees

The division also works with companies in the Greater Boston area to offer professionally oriented, graduate courses on-site or online. Classes generally meet online for 10 or 13 weeks; terms begin in September, January and May.

Office of Summer and Continuing Studies
The Brandeis Office of Summer and Continuing Studies is home to summer credit offerings via the Summer Program and both credit and noncredit offerings to individuals seeking part-time study but not yet ready to engage in a degree program via its Continuing Studies activities.

• The Summer Program is an open admission program offering courses and special summer programs for college-level credit. Small classes taught by experienced and dedicated Brandeis faculty members are the hallmark of summer offerings. Special programs, institutes and chamber music workshops with members of the Lydian String Quartet, artists-in-residence. Summer School provides the opportunity to experience innovative course formats, such as online offerings or evening and extended sessions, to accommodate work and other summer activities.
  Brandeis Summer School courses are preapproved for use toward the Brandeis degree. Courses may be used toward the 128 credits required for the Bachelor's degree, toward residency and toward general educational, as well as major and minor requirements. Grades received for Brandeis Summer School courses are included as part of the candidate's permanent academic record and in the calculation of GPAs. Transfer students should check the University Bulletin section on semester and credit requirements for the special requirements that pertain to them.
• Brandeis Continuing Studies provides the opportunity for college-age students and adult learners who wish to explore academic interests on a part-time basis while considering a full-degree program at Brandeis or elsewhere. High school transcripts and a letter of recommendation are required of all applicants. There is no financial aid available for non-degree course work.

In addition to credit courses offered as part of the undergraduate academic year, Continuing Studies is also the home to innovative, non-credit niche workshops and on-line activity designed for those pursuing post degree skills.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Brandeis University
BOLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Brandeis, is a membership organization which brings together hundreds of vibrant and intellectually curious adults in learning and friendship. We are located on the Brandeis University Campus in Waltham, MA. Each spring and fall we offer over 45 classes in history, politics, sociology, literature, music, art, science and film, facilitated by knowledgeable and passionate teachers and pursued in an atmosphere of congeniality and mutual encouragement.

Coinciding with class days, BOLLI also sponsors a "Lunch & Learn" lecture series bringing local and national celebrities, authors, and professors to its quarters and allowing for vigorous member Q & A. BOLLI activities occur off-campus as well. The Theatre Committee arranges discounted viewing of outstanding Boston shows, with frequent opportunities to meet the director or cast after the performance and to dine out with BOLLI friends. The Adventure Group sponsors trips to museums, historical sites and other local attractions. Additionally, BOLLI has recently formed an exciting association with Grand Circle Travel, featuring community trips to Costa Rica and France in 2013. Finally, the University community welcomes BOLLI members to many campus cultural, artistic, and academic events year-round, and our members have full on-campus use of Brandeis’ world-class research library.
