Lives intersect in strange and unpredictable ways in this award winning drama (Princess Grace Foundation Playwriting Award) by Brandeis alumnus Jesse Kellerman. On a rainy night, a man on a bike is struck by a taxi cab and so begins a startling chain of events that transforms the lives of seven strangers.

Take a Second Look!
Immediately following the Friday, March 24, 8pm performance of Things Beyond Our Control Brandeis faculty member Jennifer Cleary will moderate a discussion with director Paul Melone and the four designers for the show to describe the process of how theater design in the areas of scenery, lights, costumes and sound were created for the show.  The discussion will explore the collaborative nature of theater design to create the environment or the 'world' of the play.  The actors and crew will join the discussion as well.

Meet the Author!
Playwright Jesse Kellerman (M.F.A.'03) returns to his alma mater to attend the Sunday, March 26, 2 pm performance of his play.  You can meet him afterwards in the lobby of the theater where he will be signing copies of his new work of fiction, "Sunstroke."

The 2005-06 Brandeis Theater Company season is made possible through generous support from the Laurie Foundation.
