About the Norfolk/Sharon Chapter
The Norfolk/Sharon Chapter offers many exciting learning opportunities and events in the Milton, Sharon, Stoughton, Walpole, Norfolk and Sharon communities. Our chapter is lucky to be a short distance from the Brandeis campus. We keep the spirit and drive for continuing education alive. Study groups include specialized book meetings, lunch and dinner gatherings, lecture series and an annual book-and-author luncheon. One of our previous events featured, author of "Kisses From Dolce: A Book for Children About Trusting and Telling."
"I had the pleasure of addressing the Norfolk/Sharon Chapter of the Brandeis National Committee at their lovely spring luncheon. What a lively, thoughtful, intelligent group of women! Louis Brandeis once said, "Publicity is justly commended as a remedy for social and industrial diseases. Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants; electric light the most efficient policeman." He wrote those words about the banking industry, upon the creation of the Federal Trade Commission, but they couldn't be more apropos of child sexual abuse. It is up to us adults to shine the light on the insidious problem of CSA by learning what it is, how it happens, how we can prevent, mitigate and respond to it." - Susan Komisar Hausman
