Sustainability at Brandeis
"Sustainability is defined as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
-The Brundtland Commission on Sustainability
The Campus Sustainability Initiative is charged with reducing Brandeis' environmental and climate change impact. The initiative is a collaborative effort between many departments, offices, academic disciplines and student groups.
Creating a sustainable campus is an exciting opportunity to continue Brandeis' history of connecting academic theory with social justice practice.
