He was honored as a "peace pioneer" by Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, which gave $10,000 to the organization with which he served as executive director, Student Peace Alliance. To mark the occasion, Ben & Jerry's launched a new flavor of ice cream called Imagine Whirled Peace.
