Mya Goodman '18, a Gateway Upperclassmen Buddy, was awarded a 2016 Giumette Academic Achievement Award.

Tahlia Quartin '18, a Gateway Liaison Leader and Upperclassmen Buddy, invented the Redoora at Brandeis during the Justice Brandeis Semester.

Gateway Scholar Accomplishments

Brandeis NOW published profiles on Yujie Jiang '17 and Xinyue Wang '18 to highlight their academic success and many contributions to the Brandeis Community. 

Yuechen Ta '21 is a co-producer of the podcast "From the Dorm Room to the Board Room". The podcast is hosted by IBS professor Andy Molinski and seeks to help students navigate the trasition from college to the professional world.  

Xiaoling Jiao '19 spent Summer 2018 in the BU/Sydney Summer Internship Program in Australia. She is a Roosevelt Fellow and SSSP Tutor for Business for the 2018-2019 academic year. 

Roshelle Savdie '18 was a Roosevelt Fellow for the 2017-2018 academic year. She was accepted to the MA in International Finance and Economics program at the Brandeis International Business School (IBS) and is a recipient of the IBS Dean's Scholarship. 

In Spring 2018, Guoxi Zhu '20 won the Summer Materials Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SMURF) for his work in the Rogers Lab at Brandeis. Guoxi was also accepted as a visiting student to the University of Oxford, where he will spend his junior year studying physics.

Xinrui Song '20 was a recipient of the 2018 Jordan-Dreyer Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship in the Department of Chemistry. He will work in the Herzfeld Lab with Dr. Judith Herzfeld in Summer 2018. 

Ouling Xiao '19 was elected Vice President of the Brandeis Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) and served as the Director of the 2017 Chinese Mid-Autum Festival Gala. 

Yaotian Zhang '19 was a recipient of the Provost's Undergraduate Research Fund for Summer 2018. He will continue his work with Dr. Maria-Eirini Pandelia in her lab. 

Zepeng Hu '20 spent Summer 2018 as a software engineer intern for Microsoft China. 

Kaiyi Zhang '19 spent Summer 2018 as a software engineer intern for Amazon in Seattle, Washington. 

In January 2017, Yue Zhu '18 was selected to attend a training program for student leaders at the United Nations in New York City. He is currently in the Economics Senior Honors Thesis program and working on a thesis about infrastructure investment and economic growth. In Spring 2018, he has received graduate school offers from Brown University, Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Chicago. He has been on the Dean's List every semester at Brandeis. 

Huiyi Gu '19 was the Undergraduate Department Representative (UDR) for the European Cultural Studies program for the 2017-2018 academic year. She was a research assistant for Dr. Jytte Klausen's Western Jihadism Project for Summer 2018. 

Yujiao Su '19 was the Events Coordinator for the Brandeis Society for International Affairs and a contributing writer for the Brandeis International Journal. She is the UDR for the Politics department for the 2018-2019 academic year. She was a research assistant for Dr. Jytte Klausen's Western Jihadism Project for Summer 2018.

A 2013 Gateway Scholar, Yu Dai worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Jadhav Lab at Brandeis for nearly two years. Her work in the lab earned her the Provost's Undergraduate Research Fund award and an opportunity to present at the 2016 Society for Neuroscence Conference. Yu was also the President of the Brandeis Japanese Student Association from 2016 to 2017.

Boxiang Jia completed an internship with the Analysis Group, an economic and consulting strategy firm in Boston, and will continue onto Yale University for graduate study following graduation from Brandeis in May 2017.

In Spring 2014, Hanchen Zhao '16 won the J.V Cunningham Award for Excellence in Writing!

In Spring 2013, 68 Gateway Scholars were on the Dean's List!

Kaiyan Chen '13 and Mengshan Cui '13 were elected to Phi Beta Kappa in 2013!

Yulin Wu '15 and Pitchanok Luanguthai '15 had their essays published in "Write Now"!

Since 2015, 34 Gateway Scholars have studied abroad in cities such as London, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Seoul, and Sidney!
