The Office of Investment Management manages the Brandeis University Endowment Fund. The investment office is comprised of seven full-time employees and is overseen by an eight-person investment committee whose members have significant investment experience. As of June 2014, the endowment had an approximate value of $860 million. For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2014, the endowment generated an annual return of 16.3%. Over the past five years, the investment office has achieved annualized returns of 12.6%.
The Brandeis University Endowment Fund has been established to fund scholarships, fellowships, faculty salaries, programs, activities and facilities designed to promote and advance the mission of Brandeis University. The endowment supports the operational stability of the university and provided approximately 13% of the university operating budget in fiscal year 2014.
The Brandeis University Endowment Fund is committed to maintaining a diversified portfolio capable of generating strong returns with lower risk over a long-term horizon. The Office of Investment Management is dedicated to supporting the financial and operating goals of the university and working with the Investment Committee in pursuit of these goals.
