University hosted more than 150 arts events during the fall 2008 semester alone
Since the first Creative Arts Festival in 1952, Brandeis has been known as one of New England’s premier centers for innovative art and culture. We believe that creativity, community and arts participation are essential to global citizenship and a new vision for this century. During the fall 2008 semester, Brandeis sponsored more than 150 arts events with an estimated attendance of nearly 20,000 people. The unique mission and vitality of the Brandeis arts community was captured in this 2008 Ava Award-winning video by Marjorie Lyon.
