Sherri Avery discusses other loan options available to students
The Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) announced Monday that the nonprofit organization was unable to secure funding for 2008-09 education loans. According to published reports, MEFA issued more than 40,000 loans to Massachusetts residents last year.
At Brandeis there are about 250 undergrads and 100 graduate students affected by this news. BrandeisNOW spoke with Sherri Avery, the director of financial aid and student employment at Brandeis, about the many options available to students.
