'All clear' given. University completes tests of Emergency Notification System.

Brandeis University conducted several tests of its emergency response procedures today.

The tests involved the evacuation of several buildings, and the testing of several tools of the Brandeis Emergency Notification System (BENS), including the outdoor siren system, the telephone public-address system and the voicemail and text-message systems.

This was another in a series of safety tests occurring in cooperation with the Waltham Police and Fire Departments, the Brandeis Public Safety Department, the Office of the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Library and Technology Services, and the Office of Communications.

University officials thanked everyone who participated in and cooperated with the April 2 tests.
