New sciences parking lot open

A new parking lot located at the former site of the Kalman and Friedland buildings opened on Thursday, October 21. The main purpose of this lot is to provide parking for Shapiro Science Center visitors,  guest lecturers and members of the science community who have medical parking passes issued by the university parking office.

Initially, the lot will be monitored to determine the number of visitor vehicles as well as medical pass vehicles parked on a daily basis. Science community members who host campus visitors should continue to request parking passes from either the Main Information Booth located at the front entrance of the campus or from the Office of Parking and Traffic, which is located in the Stoneman Building. The campus phone extension for the Information Booth is 6-4999 and the parking office extension is 6-4250.

Cars parked in this lot without a proper visitor or medical pass issued by the parking office will be cited and towed at the car owner's expense.
