Talk online with President Lawrence

Since becoming president of Brandeis on January 1, Fred Lawrence has been busy meeting in person as many students, faculty, alumni, parents and friends as possible.

On Thursday, March 10, all who have not been able to meet the university's eighth president face-to-face will have the chance to visit with him without leaving home or office.

From 7:30-8:30 p.m. EST Lawrence will participate in an online conversation through the Brandeis Alumni Association's Faculty Lecture Forum. After a brief introduction, he will field questions from online participants.

For more information, visit the Faculty Lecture Forum website. To register for the forum, click here. Questions may be submitted during the live event or sent in advance to

An accomplished scholar, teacher and attorney, Lawrence is one of the nation's leading experts on civil rights, free expression and bias crimes. His formal inauguration will take place March 31.

Prior to coming to Brandeis, Fred was dean and Robert Kramer Research Professor of Law at George Washington University Law School from 2005 to 2010.
