Jewish Life network to cover 'deis sports

The Jewish Life Television (JLTV) cable network will provide coverage of Brandeis Judges sports teams nationwide beginning in 2012 to 13 under an agreement with the university.

JLTV, as part of its goal to expand sports programming, will begin reporting scores from Brandeis athletic contests this fall. The university fields both men’s and women’s teams in 19 intercollegiate sports, including basketball, fencing, cross country, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, soccer, and swimming and diving. The university also has men's baseball and women's softball and volleyball teams.

JLTV also will produce and broadcast profiles of the school's athletes and coaches.

Brandeis teams have won NCAA Division III national championships in men’s soccer and men’s cross country. More recently, the men’s and women’s basketball teams have each reached the Elite Eight of the Division III tournament.

JLTV is available across most of New England on Comcast, DirecTV and Time Warner Cable. The network has extensive coverage in all 50 states, reaching nearly 40 million homes. See where JLTV is carried in your area.
