Figueroa appointed associate vice president for students and enrollment

Carolina Figueroa

Carolina Figueroa has been appointed as the new Associate Vice President for Students and Enrollment. In that role she will manage operations, technology and efficiency across the Division, and assist the Senior Vice President for Students and Enrollment with budget management.

As the technical lead for Students and Enrollment, Figueroa will also meet regularly with the leadership of Library and Technology Services, and she will have dotted-line reporting to the Vice Provost for Library and Technology Services and CIO, John Unsworth. In that connection, she will represent the needs of the division as she coordinates with LTS on the selection, deployment, and maintenance of systems that support student services, recruitment, enrollment, data analysis and assessment, and contribute to the planning and prioritization of university administrative technical infrastructure.

Figueroa will also lead data analysis and reporting efforts throughout the Students and Enrollment division, serving as the S&E primary liaison with Institutional Research and Reporting, and directly managing S&E data analysts and technical positions and coordinating these positions in the relevant reporting units. 

Figueroa is currently Associate Dean of Enrollment Development and Admissions at George Mason University. In that role, she leads the George Mason University operations and technology teams for enrollment development. Since joining the University in 2005, Figueroa has led the implementation of the entire technical infrastructure of the admissions operation including new customer relationship management and online application systems. In 2008, her team was the recipient of Mason’s “Team Excellence Award” for implementation of Electronic Information Exchange. In addition to the recruitment systems, Figueroa has led the design and implementation of admissions data marts, automated workflows, and electronic transcript exchange. Prior to this role, Figueroa served for 4 years as a Senior Programmer Analyst at George Washington University.

Figueroa will start at Brandeis on July 30. She received her undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her graduate degree in Management of Information Systems from George Washington University.  A native of Ecuador, Figueroa is married to Michael Figueroa, Senior Vice President at InfusionPoints, LLC. They have two daughters.
