2026 Summer Institute on Antisemitism in Higher Education

June 28 - July 2, 2026

The Frieze Family Foundation Summer Institute on Antisemitism in Higher Education is pleased to invite applications for the 2026 Institute. Launched successfully in summer 2024 as a pilot program of the newly formed Brandeis University President's Initiative on Antisemitism, the Institute aims to raise awareness and provide senior administrators in academic and student affairs positions with a toolbox of practices and actions to effectively confront antisemitism on their campuses.

Join us to engage with academic, legal, and Jewish communal experts to learn about the history of antisemitism, the varied and nuanced ways in which antisemitism affects higher education, and how research data can inform campus interventions and policies. We will also explore anti-Zionism and its relationship to contemporary antisemitism, developing skills to navigate engaging with the topic of Israeli and Palestinian relations in a time of crisis.

Upon return to your home campus, you and your team will be expected to implement a project or initiative, developed and workshopped during the Institute, to create meaningful change in your campus community.

Designed especially for institutional teams of two-five U.S. higher education leaders and senior administrators, working in departments such as: academic affairs, DEI and legal affairs, communications, development, president, provost, and deans' offices, et. al.

“The week of education and reflection on antisemitism was both powerful and deeply informative. The sessions offered meaningful insight into the historical and present-day realities of antisemitism, presented with great care and intentionality. I left with a deeper understanding and greater confidence to recognize and address antisemitism in my work and daily life. What I've learned will continue to shape future trainings, presentations, and community-building efforts.”
