-
By professors, to improve their teaching.
-
By graduate student teaching assistants, to assemble their teaching portfolios.

Course evaluations are completed in a platform called Blue. You can access your course evaluations in one of two ways:
- Find the email you received from the Course Evaluation office and click on the link provided to access your unique set of instructor and teaching-assistant evaluations to complete.
- Log into Blue through the LATTE portal, following these steps:
- Log into LATTE.
- In the bottom, left-hand corner of your LATTE dashboard, you will find a section called Course Evaluations. Click on the link "My Course Evaluations," which will take you to your unique set of instructor and teaching-assistant evaluations to complete.
- If you cannot access your evaluations this way, try switching your browser.
Once you login, whether it is through LATTE or through the link in your email, you will see all the evaluations that are ready for you to complete as well as the date by which you must complete each evaluation. Please complete an instructor and teaching-assistant evaluation (if applicable) for each course listed.
Yes. All students will receive an email announcing the start of the evaluation period. The email will include instructions for completing the evaluations, along with a link. Email reminders will be sent periodically during the evaluation period to students who have not yet completed their evaluations.
Evaluations are confidential. We recognize that this is a primary concern when completing course evaluations online. The evaluation system keeps a record of who has submitted an evaluation in order to ensure that no student can submit more than one evaluation in any course; however, data are reported in the aggregate only and no personally identifying information, demographic information, or notes regarding your academic status will be released. All comments to open-ended questions are reported verbatim. Instructors do not see the results of their evaluations until after grades have been submitted.
If your grade has not yet been released, you may fix a mistake and resubmit your course evaluation. Please email us at evaluate@brandeis.edu with the course number, title and instructor, and we will "un-submit" it. We will then let you know when your evaluation has been removed from Blue, and you can complete your evaluation again with the corrected responses. Please know that you will have to redo the entire evaluation questionnaire for that course.
You will be able to see all of your grades two weeks after the last day of classes. If you complete your course evaluations and your instructor has submitted your grade, then you will be able to see your grade earlier in Workday. If you have not completed your evaluations for a course, then you may only see your grade in that course two weeks after the last day of classes.
