Division of Creative Arts

Black Lives Matter Statement

The Brandeis Division of Creative Arts stands united in abhorrence of systemic racism and police violence against Black people. We promise to amplify Black voices and to develop initiatives that harness the creative arts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion through empathy and understanding and to encourage action in the cause of social justice for Black people. We acknowledge our shortcomings and pledge to do more to raise awareness of these issues in our classes and co-curricular activities this fall and throughout the coming academic year. Please join us in this effort. Black Lives Matter!
