Palestinian-Israeli Negotiations:
Same Old Song?

Dr. Khalil Shikaki, Senior Fellow at the Crown Center and Director, Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research in Ramallah

A month after President Obama's Middle East Summit, Dr. Shikaki will discuss the most recent developments in the negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians, and analyze the prospects for an agreement within the one-year deadline announced in Washington.

Dr. Shikaki is an Associate Professor of Political Science and has directed the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research since 2000. He has conducted over one hundred fifty polls among Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip since 1993. A world-renowned expert on Palestinian public opinion and a widely published author, he has taught at several institutions, including Birzeit University, An-Najah National University, University of Wisconsin, Milwalkee, and University of South Florida. He has written several books on Palestinian politics and, most recently, Palestinian and Israeli Public Opinion, with Yacov Shamir (Indiana Press, 2010).
