The Schwarzman Scholars Program
The Schwarzman Scholars program is a fully funded, one-year master’s degree in Global Affairs program at Tsingua University in Beijing. Recipients gain hands-on knowledge and experience of Chinese culture and commerce, learn the Chinese language, collaborate with world-leading universities, and network with the next generation of leaders.

Eligibility
- Between 18 and 29 years old
- Must hold an undergraduate degree before the start of the program
- Demonstrate English language proficiency
Application Timeline
- Priority Intent-to-Apply Deadline: May 31, 2025
- Regular Intent-to-Apply Deadline: July 15, 2025
- Campus Deadline: August 15, 2025
- Campus Interviews: August 2025
- National Deadline: September 2025
Award
- The Schwarzman Scholarship covers tuition and fees, room and board, in-country study tour, travel to and from Beijing, health insurance, and stipend for personal expenses while in the program.

- Contact Academic Fellowships to set up a meeting to discuss the application process and strategy.
- Provide a biographical profile of up to 100 words summarizing your leadership accomplishments and future aspirations.
- Upload a resume/CV that includes leadership experiences and accomplishments, and any professional and educational experiences.
- Create a one-minute video introduction and provide the link in the application portal.
- Scan and upload transcripts to the application portal.
- Write a 750-word Leadership Essay
- Write a 500-word Statement of Purpose
- Answer two short-answer questions which can be found in the application portal.
- Request three letters of recommendations from people who are able to speak to your intellectual abilities, personal characteristics, and demonstrated leadership using specific examples from their direct experience working with you.
