Welcome New Students!
Important Dates for January 2026 Admits
Sunday, January 11: Move-In and programs with Welcome Ambassadors.
If you need to come into town the day before, you can review this list of area hotels.
Monday, January 12: Classes Begin
Throughout the first few weeks of the semester your Welcome Ambassadors will be hosting meet ups - these could take the form of your group eating dinner together, attending a campus event together or participating in an activity together. This will also provide you with additional opportunities to ask questions to your Welcome Ambassador as you transition to Brandeis.
New Undergraduate Student Onboarding
Your Onboarding experience has two parts: Virtual Onboarding Modules & In-Person Welcome Events.
Virtual Onboarding Modules
You will complete four virtual modules prior to your arrival on campus. Three of these are your Onboarding modules:
- Module 1: Academic & Career Resources
- Module 2: Health, Safety & Wellness
- Module 3: Getting Connected On and Around Campus.
You will also complete a module from the Health and Wellness Promotion Office (HAWP) entitled:
- "What Would Brandeis Do? Supporting Community Health and Safety"
Your virtual modules will be accessed through our Learning Management System, Moodle. Once the modules are available, you will be able to access them by logging into Moodle using your Brandeis username (the first part of your Brandeis email address) and password. The Onboarding modules are located in Moodle Communities and the Navigating Health and Safety module is located under Moodle Courses.
Click on the title of a module to begin and follow instructions from there.
In-Person Welcome Events
When you arrive on-campus, you will join us for a series of in-person Welcome Events before the start of classes. You will be placed into a group with other new students and will be assigned a Welcome Ambassador, a current student who will guide you throughout your in-person program. There will also be events throughout the first few weeks of the semester.
The Department of Orientation and First Year Experience will serve as a resource beginning before your arrival and continuing throughout your first year. Along with this department, your Welcome Ambassadors, Community Advisors (CAs), faculty and staff will be here for you whenever you need us.
