The fall semester is off to a great start. Our student body this year represents 46 countries and five continents. New-student orientation went smoothly in late August and early September and with classes now in full swing, faculty and staff are pleased with the enthusiasm and preparedness of our students. Our cohort of Peace Scholarship recipients has also grown to five students, with new arrivals from Ukraine, Afghanistan and South Sudan beginning their Brandeis journey by receiving a warm welcome from our campus community.

Finally, I have several exciting updates about our academic programs. Professor of the Practice of Business Analytics Ahmad Namini is now the director of the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program. With Prof. Namini's leadership, we recently launched an Online MSBA program that is currently accepting students for a January start. We’re also launching a new nine-month version of the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program tailored for students who have an academic background in finance or a similar field and/or two years of relevant work experience. The 16-month MSF will remain an option for students wishing to choose one of four concentrations. And at the undergraduate level, beginning this semester students at Brandeis University will officially have the option to minor in finance. We anticipate that finance will quickly become a popular subject among undergraduate students alongside business and economics.

I wish you a successful fall and hope to see you on campus Oct. 13! Thank you for all that you do in support of Brandeis International Business School.

Sincerely,Katy SignatureKathryn Graddy
