Web Design

Design and Publish a Website

Websites are an effective way to showcase your work, visual style, and demonstrate high-level digital skills. Use a website to:

  • Advertise your research project and provide proof of concept. Create a landing page explaining the project’s goals, and include sections for your bibliography, staff, and milestones.
  • Share your employment materials in a well-designed website that showcases your skills. Post your CV, writing samples, teaching documents, etc. Share your CV, teaching documents, and research projects.
  • Disseminate your research to a broader audience. Publish articles in peer-reviewed journals, but also write a public-facing version on a website that isn’t blocked by a paywall.

All of these interfaces will produce a website with text and images. Use this chart to find the best interface for supporting your datasets. Click here for an accessible PDF version.
