Class Correspondent

I am an attorney and chief of staff for the commissioner of social services in New York’s Department of Social Services. I have been married to Mark Caren for six years and we have a son, Eli, who is 5 years old. I hope to hear from all of my friends and fellow alumni, so please send in an update.

Robert Lindeman was awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor of computer science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he teaches in the Interactive Media & Game Development Program.

Frederick Hyman, the rabbi at Kodimoh Congregation, was named director of the new Jewish Student Union at American International College in Springfield, Mass.

Sheila MacDonald released her first folk music CD, “This Way.”

Deborah Bial, president and founder of the Posse Foundation college-access program, received an honorary degree in education from Dickinson College.

Marla (Baker) Levy of Swampscott, Mass., remarried in 2006 and serves as chief financial officer for the Jewish Federation of the North Shore and Jewish Family Service of the North Shore. Her daughter is studying for her bat mitzvah and her son graduated from high school.
