Ian Marinoff wrote in to let us know about the birth of his second child. “My wife, Jennifer, and I welcomed Sari Claire on May 10. Her sister, Rayna, is three and a half years old and already claims that being a big sister is a lot of work!” Lawrence Leonard and his wife, Jaime, had twin baby boys, Max Adam and Jacob Shalom, on Oct. 25, 2010, in Evanston, Ill. He writes, “Sarah is doing great in her new role as the big sister.” Daniel DeLisi was appointed southwest Florida’s new representative on the South Florida Water Management District’s governing board. Daniel, whose term runs through March 1, 2015, is not concerned about the difficulties of balancing the water needs of the environment, agriculture and development. “I’ve never shied away from controversy,” Daniel told the News-Press in Fort Myers, Fla. “I’m a certified mediator, and I take a mediator’s approach to land-use planning, looking for win-win solutions.” In 2006, he founded the planning and engineering firm DeLisi Fitzgerald. He has taught at Florida Gulf Coast University and is an adjunct faculty member at Nova Southeastern University. Sara Ravid, VP of the Synagogue, School & Center Division of the Association of Jewish Libraries, is the library and media specialist at Wayland Middle School in Massachusetts. Elizabeth Zeiders is an associate with Conner & Winters in Tulsa, Okla. She practices in the areas of commercial real-estate and business transactions. Eleena Zhelezov was inducted into the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Division III Athlete Hall of Fame. She was a nine-time national champion at Brandeis and one of only two individuals in NCAA track and field history — male or female, in all divisions — to sweep a single event indoors and outdoors four years in a row, winning eight triple-jump titles from 1992–95. She was also the national indoors long-jump champ as a freshman. As a senior at Brandeis, Eleena was honored as the NCAA Division III Athlete of the Year. The 15-time All-American and Brandeis Athletic Hall of Famer still holds the school records in the triple and long jumps.
