Elissa Abrams is an assistant professor at the University of Manitoba in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. She has been accepted into the master’s in public health program at Johns Hopkins University. Aaron Bates married Julie Stinson in December 2016 in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Their daughter, Hannah, was born in June 2017 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Aaron is studying medicine at Dalhousie University, in Halifax, and works as a nurse practitioner in Tatamagouche. Allison Leigh Berry was appointed one of two women co-senior rabbis at Temple Shalom in Newton, Massachusetts. The temple’s board of trustees announced the transition on April 25. A formal installation of the co-senior rabbis happened in mid-November. Solita Marcelli is one of 22 senior leaders selected by the Aspen Institute for the 2018 class of the two-year Finance Leaders Fellowship. Solita is managing director and global head of fixed income, currencies and commodities for global wealth management at J.P. Morgan. Shannon Saccocia was promoted to chief investment officer at Boston Private’s wealth management unit. The firm is a leading provider of fully integrated wealth management, trust and private banking services. Shannon most recently served as its chief investment strategist. David Salama edited and wrote the introduction to a memoir penned by his 93-year-old grandmother, “Hiding in Plain Sight: My Holocaust Story of Survival.” In his work on the book, David interviewed his grandmother; did genealogical research; and traveled to Belarus to visit David-Horodok, the place where she grew up. Sean Sedacca was named president of Imaestri, an online marketplace for luxury Italian furnishings, headquartered in New York City.
