Mauro Levi D’Ancona is a partner at Brazilian financial-technology company Nubank, responsible for capital raising and new products. He and his wife recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Helena. J.J. El-Far and husband Dan Hirschhorn welcomed their second son, Ellis Isaac, on Dec. 17, 2017. He joined his brother, Henry Rockwell, who was born on July 11, 2016. J.J. is general manager at Theater Mitu, in Brooklyn. Dan is managing editor, news, at Barron’s, part of Dow Jones Media Group. Ari Fleisher and husband Jonah Kaitz welcomed their daughter, Hanna Danielle, in May. Kate Gardiner reports her feminist communications firm, Grey Horse, grew quite a bit over the past year. Notable clients have included Wikimedia, African-American venture capitalist Abyah Wynn and writer/activist Soraya Chemaly. The firm has also expanded its event practice. David Spear bought a home in River Vale, New Jersey, and hopes to connect with Brandeis alumni in the northern New Jersey area.
