Brandeis University broke ground on a new, state-of-the-art residence hall in June 2025.

The new residence hall marks the first phase of a three-part housing initiative aimed at enhancing the quality of student life through new construction, major renovations and the strategic removal of aging facilities.

Located on the university’s lower campus, this transformational campus development project will add 631 beds, housing both undergraduate students and those engaged in summer programming. Construction is expected to be completed in spring 2027.

Designed by renowned Boston architects William Rawn Associates, the new residence hall will feature:

  • Sustainable construction
  • Full building accessibility
  • Air conditioning
  • Event and exercise spaces
  • 14 kitchens and 14 lounges
  • A combination of single and double rooms
  • Outdoor courtyard and terrace
  • Bike storage
