Senior Technical Program Manager, Google DeepMind

Luo is technical leader with more than 15 years of experience in software engineering and artificial intelligence. As a Senior Technical Program Manager at Google DeepMind, he currently direct programs focused on the evaluation and training of Gemini model frontier capabilities. His background also includes leading and scaling generative AI initiatives across Google’s suite of products.

His experiences have enabled me to create the AI Fundamentals for STEM Professionals microcredential because of his hands-on work in benchmarking AI and establishing frameworks for product decision making and performance tracking. This course draws directly from his experience managing the practical application and ethical considerations of generative AI in high stakes technical environments.

His teaching experience includes over 5 years in higher education, currently as an Adjunct Instructor of Brandeis University's Rabb School of Graduate Professional Studies. I am dedicated to fostering engaging discussions and providing mentorship to help professionals bridge the gap between core AI principles and real world STEM challenges.
