Since fiscal year 2015, Brandeis has seen a dramatic increase in composting in our two dining halls and across campus through the efforts of the Office of Sustainability, Brandeis Dining Services and our facilities services team.
Do you know?
- All food scraps, both in the kitchen during meal prep and plate scrapings from meals, are composted in Lower Usdan and Sherman dining halls.
- Sherman's kosher plates are composted.
- As of January 2019, we are also committing to all-compostable tableware in our catering services.
