Kim Godsoe joined the provost's office in 2014. Godsoe supervises the academic services, study abroad, international students and scholars, English language programs and the University Registrar. She also oversees university assessment of learning goals, contributes to reaccreditation, co-chairs the Title IX Task Force and serves as the Posse liaison, a role in which she helped to establish the Science Posse Scholars program. Godsoe joined Brandeis in 1994, first working in the student support services program and later serving as the dean of academic services.
Prior to joining Brandeis, Godsoe worked in student advising and support services at Columbia University and Mount Ida College. She also taught English literature as an adjunct professor at Newbury College.
She currently serves as an executive board member for the American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Network of Massachusetts.
Godsoe received a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College and a Master of Fine Arts in writing from Columbia University. She also holds a PhD in social policy from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, where her research focused on retention of undergraduates in STEM disciplines.
