Scholar Orientation
Within one week of arriving at Brandeis, please schedule a New Scholar Orientation appointment with the David C. Elwell at the ISSO. All new international scholars must schedule and attend a New Scholar Orientation to check-in with the ISSO.

What to Bring to Orientation
Please bring all your visa documents to orientation:
- Passport
- I-94 card
- Form DS-2019 (for J-1 visa holders)
- I-797A Approval Notice (for H-1B visa holders)
- Health insurance information if you are enrolled in a policy (for J-1 visa holders)
- The same for any dependents on your visa
