Heavy Thoughts
Since August 2008 we have generated an average of 470 pounds of waste (trash, recycling, and compost) per person on campus. Imagine- what if everyone had to carry that amount of waste around with them everywhere they went?
Recyclemania Results
Congratulations! Brandeis increased our recycling rate from January to March as part of the Recyclemania 2009 competition. The campus will get a free ice cream on April 23rd Earth Day Celebrations!
The good news is the amount of recycling per person is rising! The bad news is we are still far beyond many of our peer institutions. Work hard to improve our rates. Remember "Use Less, Recycle the Rest"- see Reduction Tips.
