Applicants are required to submit:

- letters of recommendation
- official test scores
- undergraduate and graduate transcripts
- a writing sample
Because application requirements may vary by degree program, you should be sure to follow the deadlines set forth by the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
Ph.D. students normally receive full scholarship support from the university, along with a stipend and health insurance for five years. Many of our master’s degree students also receive partial scholarship support that is based upon a combination of need and academic merit.
