Itai Nevo of Newton, Mass., joined DLA Piper’s corporate and finance group as a partner. He had been a partner in the business law department at Goodwin Procter. He holds law and business degrees from Boston University.

Alex Tsalolikhin of Los Angeles, a computer systems administrator, wrote a tutorial on automating systems administration using Cfengine 3 (www.verticalsysadmin.com/cfengine3). He has been following the nascent field of automating system administration for years and is involved with the Cfengine community.

Nicole Askinazy Jeleniowski of San Diego, husband Ed, and 3-year-old daughter Torrey Ana welcomed a new member of the family when Tasha Rose was born on April 10. Nicole was recently promoted to senior manager and VP of accounting and financial reporting at HSBC Auto Finance.

Alan Ilagan married Andrew Van Wagenen on May 7 in the Boston Public Garden. Alan is a personnel administrator for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in Albany. He is also the manager of the Romaine Brooks Gallery, the art gallery at the Capital District Gay and Lesbian Community Center. Andrew retired as a police officer in Guilderland, N.Y.

Kevin Rosenzweig and his wife, Stefanie, welcomed Asher Solomon on Jan. 21 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Asher was born the day after their second anniversary.

Alan Kierman and his wife, Allison, announce the arrival of Bond Eli, who was born on May 13.

Christine Manavian had a son, Andrew Ara Najarian.

While continuing his work with his comics publishing company, com.x (www.comxcomics.com), Benjamin Shahrabani has started a skin care and cosmetics company, It Puts the Lotion on Its Skin, whose products are being distributed exclusively by Walmart.

Tina Mello served as a bridesmaid in the wedding of Christina Mihaltse Demark to Mike Schultz in June in Washington, D.C. Jennifer Siegel also attended.
