Eric Danis and his wife, Anat, recently celebrated the birth of their second child, Yael Elana, with several Brandeisians at a party in Israel. Shai Fuxman spoke movingly about Eric, his freshman-year roommate, and the significance of childbirth in the Jewish tradition. Jason “Jumping Jay” Adler and Ian Goldstein read a lovely poem. Mary (McGrath) McNeice ’01 enjoyed playing with Yael’s older brother, Yoav Yisrael. Other alumni in attendance included Joshua Turnof and Jodi (Dienstag) Friedman ’00. The middle name Elana was chosen to honor Eric’s aunt, Elaine Dillon, who passed away a few days after Yael’s birth. Yael’s parents hope she will always pursue truth, even unto its innermost parts.
